The Proof is in the Progress
Objective evaluations have documented that Pre-K 4 SA teachers provide a level of instructional quality that has long-term impact on student achievement. It’s no surprise that year after year, children who attend Pre-K 4 SA end the year significantly above the national norm in cognition, mathematics, and language. Research also shows that children who attend Pre-K 4 SA continue to benefit from the program for years after.
Recognized and Respected
Not only has Pre-K 4 SA been recognized as the best early childhood program in Texas by receiving the prestigious H-E-B Excellence in Education Award, Pre-K 4 SA is also raising the visibility of San Antonio through national media attention. Our program has been recently featured in over 30 local, regional, national and international outlets, including Politico, CNN, New York Times and Huffington Post. In fact, officials from other states and countries have visited our campus as a model for their own educational improvement. Read More.
We Pass With Flying Colors
The success of Pre-K 4 SA is annually evaluated by a third-party research firm. Student outcomes are measured using the Teaching Strategies GOLD, which measures cognitive, mathematics, literacy, oral language, physical and social-emotional aspects of early childhood education and literacy subtests of the Woodcock Johnson IV Test of Achievement. Every Pre-K 4 SA classroom is evaluated using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), a standardized measure of instructional quality.
