Each year, the YourSA Readers Choice Awards give readers of MySA.com and the San Antonio Express-News a chance to vote for their favorite people, places, and things in the city.

We’re proud to share that Pre-K 4 SA, CEO Dr. Sarah Baray, and two of our San Antonio Shared Services Alliance partners were recognized for their contributions to early childhood education in San Antonio this year.

Dr. Saray Baray Voted One of San Antonio’s Top Female CEOs

Under Dr. Baray’s leadership since 2016, Pre-K 4 SA has expanded to serve more families each year, setting a national standard for high-quality publicly funded pre-K.

During this time, Pre-K 4 SA proved its worth to San Antonio voters, who approved funding for the program through 2028. It has also partnered with Edgewood ISD to create the Gardendale Early Learning Program, extending its curriculum to children up to second grade; implemented a new scholarship structure; opened enrollment to 3-year-olds; and broke ground on its state-of-the-art South Education Center — among other achievements.

Congratulations to Dr. Baray for earning this well-deserved recognition.

Imagination Child Development Center, Northwood Presbyterian Day School, and Pre-K 4 SA Voted Top-3 Preschools/Daycares

Congratulations to Imagination Child Development Center and Northwood Presbyterian Day School for being voted Top-3 in the Preschool/Daycare category by MySA readers!

Imagination and Northwood are women-led businesses that provide affordable, high-quality early childhood education to San Antonio’s youngest learners. They’re also both members of the San Antonio Shared Services Alliance, powered by Pre-K 4 SA.

The Alliance is a network of child care centers and family care providers dedicated to creating the best early learning environments for children and families. Alliance members work together, share resources, and help align their programs based on the idea that every child deserves a strong chance at a successful future — and that starts with high-quality early education.

Thank you to the teachers, administrators, staff members, partners, and families who have helped us and our partners achieve this recognition. And thanks to all MySA readers who voted to recognize Pre-K 4 SA, Dr. Sarah Baray, Imagination, and Northwood for their commitments to providing high-quality early learning for San Antonio children and families.

We look forward to serving San Antonio children and families for years to come and continuing our mission to improve San Antonio’s economy and bolster its workforce within one generation.
