The Pre-K 4 SA East Education Center will reopen Wednesday after COVID-19 test results of 4-year-olds were negative for the coronavirus.

San Antonio residents’ ballots will be filled with important choices in November, including whether to reinvest the 1/8-cent sales tax currently allocated to the City’s early education initiative, Pre-K 4 SA.

The event celebrated the children’s promotion to the next grade, and helped students catch up with teachers they hadn’t physically seen in weeks.

School officials said of the 1,200 students in class Tuesday, more than 970 were participating remotely, with almost 470 waiting for the next phase to go to class in-person at one of the four Pre-K 4 SA centers. About 300 of the students who were attending virtually were using school-issued iPads.
