Learners throughout the city of San Antonio from pre-K through college will have to adapt to what education looks like during a global pandemic

The preschool is set to begin its school year on Monday, but it will begin virtually.

In-person classes are set to start on September 8th and on Thursday, we got our first look at all the changes being made in preparation for students during our tour at the North Education Center.

Changes are underway at Pre-K 4 SA in preparation for its first class Monday.

With decades of experience in public education, this Women’s Leadership Awards honoree went from being a professor at Texas State University to leading Pre-K 4 SA, San Antonio’s early childhood development program.

Pre-K 4 SA is accepting applications for the 2020-21 school year at its four education centers, in addition to its replication site, Gardendale Early Learning Program.

The early childhood initiative said the spread of COVID-19 has forced the decision to go 100 percent remote.

Pre-K 4 SA officials said the decision was made after consulting with the organization’s advising physician. The hope is to begin integrating in-person classes after Labor Day.
