37th Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Celebration
Join Pre-K 4 SA for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service and March. The 2024 celebration will take place on Monday, January 15th beginning with the in-person march kickoff at 10 a.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, followed by the park celebration at Pittman-Sullivan Park. The park celebration will include a main stage with multicultural performances, a health and wellness area, a youth area, food and merchandise vendors, and information booths.
All Pre-K 4 SA students, staff, alumni, and families are invited to march as a unified community to honor the memory and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We ask that you register to participate by clicking the registration link below. MLK March VIA Bus Schedule:
To the march: passengers may access free VIA Bus service from 8:00 to 10:00 am on Monday, January 15, at two locations:

Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E. Houston St. (Lot 1)

St. Philip’s College, 1801 Martin Luther King Dr. (Lot 22). Lot 22 is at Montana and Mittman streets.
The drop-off point for service to the March will be on MLK Drive, west of Upland Drive.
From the march: buses will return passengers to the original pick-up locations from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. Participants may access return service at Pittman-Sullivan Park, 1101 Iowa St.
