Pre-K 4 SA’s program utilizes a child’s natural acts of play to build a foundation in concepts such as math, science, language, and art while increasing language and social skills. Through strategically designed play, Pre-K 4 SA builds the foundation for a love of learning that extends beyond the preschool years.
Pre-K 4 SA Education Centers
The application process is closed for the 2024—25 school year. We will reopen for the 2025—2026 school year on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
When the enrollment period opens, you will be able to apply for your 3- and 4-year old children. You will be asked to provide basic family and contact information, and your education center preference.
A Pre-K 4 SA Enrollment Specialist will help you through the entire process.

Applying during the Sibling and Alumni Priority Application Period? This priority application period is open to previously registered siblings and alumni families, City of San Antonio employees, and verified military families. The Sibling Priority Application Period will open Sunday, December 1 at 8 a.m. on prek4sa.com and close at noon on December 31. Applications will not be accepted again until the public application period opens on February 1, 2025.

Gardendale Early Learning Program
Families interested in pre-kindergarten or continuing their education at Gardendale Early Learning Program, please call (210) 898-4190 or visit the campus 1731 Dahlgreen Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78237.
Gardendale offers pre-kindergarten for 4-year-olds, kindergarten, first and second grades, all powered by Pre-K 4 SA’s philosophies and methodologies.
If your child is a Pre-K 4 SA alumnus and you wish to continue the same high-quality education in grades K-2, apply today.

Children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1 to be considered for that school year.
The online application takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
The answers you provide will be used to determine if you are eligible to attend for free or qualify for our tuition assistance or scholarship program. No original documents are needed at this time.
Multiple siblings: You may submit one online application for multiple 3- and 4-year-olds living within your household.
Families residing in non-participating school districts may apply to be selected as a tuition student and accepted on a rolling basis in accordance with space availability.
Tech Help
- Only one application can be open at a time. If you have multiple browsers open with more than one application, you will need to close all applications and begin again.
- Do not use the “back” button on your Internet browser. Use the buttons provided in the application or use the tabs to navigate previous sections.
- When entering street addresses with North, South, East, or West, type the first letter of the direction before typing the street name.

- Yes! Your child just needs to turn 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2025.
East Central ISD, Edgewood ISD, Harlandale ISD, North East ISD, Northside ISD, San Antonio ISD, and Southwest ISD are participating districts. If you reside in one of these school districts, you could be eligible to attend any Pre-K 4 SA Education Center for free.
Families living in non-participating school districts are not eligible to attend Pre-K 4 SA for free.
- Any child living within the city limits of San Antonio or Extra Territorial Jurisdiction can attend Pre-K 4 SA. However, all students from non-participating school districts must pay tuition to participate in the program (even if they meet the eligibility requirements for free Pre-K).
- Yes. You can start your contactless application on February 1 or over the phone at 210-206-PREK (7735).
